The Staff Selection Commission GD Constable is a national-level exam conducted every year to recruit candidates for the posts of Constable (GD) and Rifleman (GD) in the CAPFs. The recruitment under the General Duty Constable in CAPFs, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2025 will be carried out through a Computer-Based Exam, Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Exam (DME)/ Document Verification (DV). Candidates need to register themselves using the Staff Selection Commission GD Constable Apply Online 2025 link to appear for the exam.
Age cut-off:
The candidate must be 18-23 years as on 01 January 2025 (i.e., candidates born not before 02 January 2002 and not later than 01 January 2007).
Educational Qualification (As on 01 January 2025):
The candidates must be passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University as on or before the cut-off date i.e., 01 January 2025.
Application Fee:
Fee payable General & Male BC Candiates: ₹100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).
All Women candidates and candidates belonging to all Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled
Tribes (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for the reservation are exempted from
payment of fee.
Mode of Payment : Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Master card, Maestro, RuPay Debit cards.

Computer-Based Examination:
The Computer-Based Examination will consist of one Objective Type Paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each with the following composition:
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The Computer-Based Examination will be conducted in all regional languages.
- The questions in the Computer-Based Examination will be of Matriculation level.
- Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other electronic gadgets.
